Are you searching for an Austin flute teacher? You're in the right place!

With over a decade of experience teaching students from young beginners to college performance majors to adults, I specialize in custom-tailoring lessons to each student's unique style of learning! As a performer and speaker for Universities, Festivals, Conferences, and orchestras across the country I make expert-level education accessible to every member of my studio. As a sought-after professional, I only accept a select number of students on a regular basis. If you are motivated and excited to consistently improve as a musician, then you will be a great fit for my studio and I look forward to reviewing your application!

Please send an email to hello@nicolericcardo.com to apply for either in-person or online flute lessons. Each application will be reviewed and I will contact you via email to schedule a trial lesson to determine if we will be a good fit!

Please note that due to limited availability, NOT every student that applies can or will be accepted.

Please include the following information in your email:

  1. Your name + student's name

  2. Student's age

  3. Student's grade + school

  4. How many years has the student been playing the flute?

  5. If the student is a beginner to flute, does the student have any other music experience (ex: took piano lessons for one year, is in choir, etc.)?

  6. Is the student currently participating in the school band or other musical ensemble?

  7. Are you interested in in-person flute lessons or online flute lessons?

  8. Are you okay with 60-minute lessons? (Please note I primarily only accept students for 60-minute lessons due to the amount of material to cover - theory, scales, sound, technique, etudes, plus solos and ensemble music.)

  9. Is the student able and committed to practicing at least 5 days per week? (Specific amount of time the student should spend practicing varies based on student level and goals, but a minimum of 15 minutes x 5 days a week is expected for all students).

  10. If accepted, what are your preferences for lesson day/time?

I look forward to reviewing your application!
